Brooklyn Artist Marcia Hillis (left) had her opening reception for her “Rocks and Waves” exhibit of oil paintings at the Surf Lodge in Montauk on September 19, accompanied by Hamptons Sommelier Erin Swain (right), who poured a 6-liter bottle of oak-aged Rose wine called, “Rock Angel.” They both provided an education of art and wine to the Montauk community. Hillis began her career in Venice, Italy, after college, and has taught art in a Brooklyn school for the past 32 years. She has been working at a Montauk residency which inspired her current show. Swain has lived and worked as a Sommelier in different states and is currently the manager of Gosman’s Fish Market, as well as being an avid surfer.
