On Sunday, May 16th volunteers organized by the Montauk Village Association cleaned up at the Dock area, meeting in the parking lot of Gosman’s, and armed with gloves and bags they gave the Harbor a spring clean-up!
Thank you for all that came out to help clean up the Montauk harbor. A special shout out to Sammy’s on the go for giving everyone a hot dog !!!
The Montauk Village Association is Montauk’s oldest non-profit civic organization founded in 1961. The organization is directed by a group of dedicated, concerned volunteers who have the desire to care for and maintain our quaint village of Montauk.
MISSION STATEMENT: To preserve Montauk’s unique beauty by planting and maintaining flower beds, hanging baskets and trees throughout the downtown area of Montauk, and maintaining the teak benches along with Montauk’s Memorial Garden. The organization is driven to help keep all public areas clean and green!
To provide scholarships to local school children who plan to further their education by attending college.
To work collectively with The Town of East Hampton and other local organizations to help preserve, protect and beautify our historical landmark community.
HOW ARE WE ABLE TO DO THIS? The MVA hosts the Greenery Scenery Fundraiser every summer to cover the cost of the landscaping and maintenance expenses. We also rely on the generosity of our community and the thousands of summer residents and visitors who enjoy our streets and beaches. Tax-free donations are always welcome!
