The annual event includes a race/walk from town to the Dock Restaurant, followed by raffles and lots of fun with friends and neighbors. Marking the closing of the restaurant’s season, and offering neighbors a chance to get some exercise while raising money for local worthy causes; it’s a great event!
Congratulations to Erik Engstrom for winning 1st place overall!
The 2021 race saw the largest turn out of participants ever…with proceeds amounting to $10,000, which were split evenly between the Montauk Food Pantry and the Montauk Senior Nutrition Center. A Surprise Matching Donation by an anonymous Dock patron increased the final donation to $10,000 for each organization!
As the 2021 Holiday Season quickly approaches, please remember that ‘giving back’ is always an excellent gift choice. Making a donation to those in need is one way to do this, and the Montauk Food Pantry https://www.montaukfoodpantry.org – is a great organization for just such a donation.
Holiday donations for the Food Pantry are gratefully accepted, with diapers being high on their wish list. They also appreciate receiving coffee and shelf milk. These particular items are costly; therefore, they’re especially grateful to receive them. Donations can be left in the lobby of the pre-school.
Also, for the past 8 years they have collected toys for the farm workers’ children in Bellport- Unwrapped, NEW toys can be dropped off at the St Therese pre-school through December 3rd.
Food Pantry is located in the lower level of the St. Therese Parish Center, 67 South Essex Street, Montauk.
