April Birthday Celebrants

Looks like mother nature surprised us all by skipping spring all together. One day we were wearing turtlenecks and sweaters, the next day we were in blouses and t-shirts. However, that didn’t stop the April birthday celebrants from having their cake and eating it.
After a well balanced meal of Eggplant Parmesan, mixed vegetable and Italian bread, Irene Attinello, volunteers, Myrna Syvertsen and Therese Jermain, the loving couple, Mary and Mike Delligatti and camera shy, Mary Kim were game in sharing their delicious carrot cake with their peers.
There’s been some changes in the senior activities. Instead of Tuesdays, bingo will now be played after lunch on Mondays so as not to conflict with the AARP monthly Tuesday meetings at the Library. To keep the seniors fit and nimble, Yoga is still offered twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Other games enjoyed by the young at heart are dominoes, mahjong and poker.
This reporter is glad that the warm weather has finally arrived in Montauk and is looking forward to a summer full of fun. Happy Birthday April Babies and may you have many more to come!
