January and February Birthday Celebrants
Due to multiple snow storms that closed the Center, January’s birthday celebrants, Marianne Menonna and Gloria Leber joined the February celebrants Zaida Novoa and volunteer Kathryn Flanagan in blowing out the candles on their vanilla strawberry cake.
At the end of each month, Executive Director Eileen Bock makes sure that each senior’s birthday is acknowledged to show appreciation for their contribution to society and to have fun with their peers. Thanks to the help of generous donors and a grant funded by the Town of East Hampton, activities such as chair yoga, bingo, cards, mahjong and dominoes are provided before or after lunch including monthly blood pressure screenings.
If you are 60 and older and live in Montauk, you can join these young at hearts for a nutritious and delicious lunch on Monday through Friday for only $3.00.
