Liars’ Saloon, at the Offshore Sports Marina in Montauk, hosted its first ever fishing tournament! The First Annual Vincent C. Carillo Memorial Fluke & Sea Bass Fishing Tournament took place on Saturday, August 22nd. As the following from the proprietors of Liars’ Saloon will attest, everyone had a great time!
We had such a wonderful day remembering Vincent C. Carillo…or as he was known…Mister C! It was great seeing so many families & friends fishing together, spending time together, creating memories and stories! That is what Mister C was all about!
Thank you to everyone who came out to participate! We hope you had a fun day!
The big winner of the day was Night Stalker in the Private Boat/Adult Angler Division with an 11.5 pound fluke! Artie Surrey on the Altair came in with the winning Sea Bass weighing in at 4.6 lbs.
The Joy Sea had a very successful day with fish weighing in for 1st & 2nd place with both Fluke & Sea Bass in the Charter Boat Division.
The Act 1 successfully brought in the heaviest fluke in the Commercial Boat Division.
In the Children’s Division, Andy on the High Seas brought in the heaviest fluke and Bad Daddy brought in the winning Sea Bass.
Thank you to our Weigh-In Master, Mr. Charles Morici, Sr. who did an awesome job greeting all our anglers and weighing in all their fish!! Thank you Norma Bock, Sophia Orefice Sutphen, Debbie Morici & Megan Morici for all your help in making the event so successful! We couldn’t have done it without you!
A huge shout out and thank you to the grill master, Joe Lenahan!! Everything was great!!!
